We apply a prescription numbing cream (or perform a dental block for lips). The dentist then injects the filler gel using micro-needles or a smooth cannula.

Dermal Filler Aftercare Guide
First 24 Hours

Do Not Touch or Massage: Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated areas. Massaging can alter the distribution of the gel before it has integrated into the tissue.

No Makeup: Avoid applying makeup, lipsticks, or skin products to the treated area for 24 hours to prevent introducing bacteria to the injection sites.

Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from drinking alcohol for 24 hours. Alcohol thins the blood and can significantly increase bruising at the injection sites.
First 48 Hours & Swelling

Avoid Strenuous Exercise: Rest for 24 to 48 hours. Avoid intense cardiovascular activity or heavy lifting, which raises blood pressure and worsens swelling.

Avoid Excessive Heat: Stay away from saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and direct sun exposure. High heat increases swelling in the treated areas.

Apply Cold Compresses: Swelling and bruising are normal and settle in 2-5 days. Gently apply a cold compress or clean ice pack (10 mins on, 10 mins off) to reduce swelling. Sleep with your head elevated.
