What is Snoring?
Snoring is caused by the partial closure of the upper airway during sleep. As you relax, the airway narrows, reducing airflow. This restriction forces the air to move faster, causing the soft tissues in the back of your mouth and throat to vibrate, producing the snoring noise.

What is Sleep Apnoea (OSA)?
Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) is a more severe condition where the airway repeatedly collapses entirely during sleep, blocking airflow for 10 seconds or more. This deprives the body and brain of oxygen, causing the patient to stop breathing briefly before waking up with a snort, gasp, or choke.

Sleepwell Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS)
The Sleepwell MAS is a custom-fit dental appliance worn over your teeth while sleeping. It is specifically designed to treat chronic snoring and mild-to-moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
It works by gently holding your lower jaw (mandible) slightly forward. This position stretches the airway tissues, preventing the airway from collapsing and eliminating tissue vibration (snoring).

Book a consultation. Your dentist evaluates your airway, teeth, and gums. We then take precise, gag-free 3D digital scans of your teeth (no messy putty required).
2. Partnered Lab Fabrication
We send your digital scans directly to our partnered laboratory, where dental technicians construct your custom Sleepwell MAS. Your device is ready in just 2 weeks.
3. Fit & Collect
You return to the practice. Your dentist tests the appliance in your mouth, makes minor adjustments to ensure a perfect fit, and shows you how to adjust and care for it.
How to Care for Your Sleepwell MAS
Daily Cleaning & Washing

Rinse Immediately: Always rinse your Sleepwell device under cold water both immediately before putting it in your mouth and right after taking it out in the morning.

Brush Gently: Clean the splint daily using a soft-bristled toothbrush and cold water or a mild, non-abrasive soap.

No Toothpaste: Never use toothpaste to clean the splint. The abrasive agents in toothpaste can create micro-scratches on the surface, which attract bacteria and cause discolouration.
Storage & Safety

Keep in the Case: Store your dry Sleepwell device in its protective case when you aren't wearing it. Let it air dry completely before closing the case lid.

Avoid Hot Environments: Store the case in a cool, dry place. Keep it away from hot water, direct sunlight, and heat sources (radiators) which can warp the materials and ruin the custom fit.

Annual Checks: Bring your Sleepwell MAS to your routine dental examinations. Your dentist will inspect the device to ensure it continues to fit safely and function effectively.
