1. 3D Digital Scan
Your dentist checks the stability of your teeth and takes a fast, comfortable digital 3D scan of your upper and lower arches — no gagging or messy trays.
2. Custom Fabrication
We send the digital files to our partnered dental laboratory, where technicians custom-craft your Essix trays or prepare your bonded wires in just 1-2 weeks.
3. Fit & Collect
You return to the clinic. For fixed: we bond the wire to the back of your teeth. For removable: we check the fit of the trays and show you how to wear and clean them.

Immediate Rinse: Rinse your aligners/retainers with cool water each time you remove them. Never use hot water, as this can easily warp the custom-moulded plastic.

Brush (No Toothpaste): Clean your retainers daily using a soft toothbrush and a mild, non-abrasive soap or specialist cleaning tablets (like Retainer Brite). Do not use toothpaste, as its abrasives scratch the plastic, creating tiny spaces where bacteria can grow.

Store Safely: Always store your retainers in their protective case when not in use. Never wrap them in tissue (they are easily thrown away!). Keep away from pets and heat.
Fixed Bonded Retainer Care

Meticulous Brushing: Brush thoroughly around the back of your front teeth, ensuring you clean both above and below the wire. Use an orthodontic or electric toothbrush for the best results.

Threader Flossing: Plaque builds up quickly around fixed wires. Use a floss threader (like Oral-B Superfloss) or interdental brushes to daily clean the spaces underneath the wire and protect your gums.

Avoid Hard Bites: Be cautious when biting directly into hard, crunchy foods (like whole apples, hard bread, or ice) with your front bonded teeth. Cut these items up to prevent snapping the wire bond.
